With 2014 in full force, many people are looking to start their fitness resolutions, often leading to a busy gym. We’re helping you make
the most of your workout to help support you on your journey to health!
5 Ways To Maximize Your Workout During A Busy Gym Time
Lauren Neal
1. Use The Track
Can’t get on a treadmill? Head upstairs to the track! You
can use the track for your actual run or just as way to warm up. Grab a buddy
and try some sprints or interval work to mix it up!
You can find the hours here
so that you’re able to plan accordingly!
2. Use Body Weight
Resistance
Dumbbells all taken? No worries! Using your own body weight
can prove effective for strength and stability. Things like push-ups, lunges, and
walking planks are great ways to challenge yourself. You can even record how
many of each exercise you get done in a minute and re-test yourself every 4-6
weeks.
3. Talk To a Personal Trainer
About Alternatives
You see them all the time, our friendly trainers! They’re
here to help. Want an exercise that targets a certain muscle but can’t use your
usual equipment? Ask them and they can provide you with an alternative!
Interested in training with one of them? Check out their bios here!
4. Join Us In The AM!
Typically our busiest time is at night, from about 4:30
onward, so a morning sweat session could be for you!
You’ll have even more
space with the fitness studio being empty most days until 11:30am.
5. Be Prepared With Options!
Be prepared to wait for equipment. If yours isn't available,
perhaps have a few alternate ideas of what you can do instead. Or you can
always work in with someone. This could also be a great way to meet a gym
buddy!
Don’t let the crowds discourage you, stay dedicated, and stay awesome!
